COATES, JOHN A. - The death of John Alexander Coates of Four Corners, NB occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on July 28, 2006 at the age of 84. Born at Mount Pisgah, NB a son of the late Irvine and Adelia (Leake) Coates. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Edith L. (Carll) Coates; daughters, Shirley Douthwright of Sussex and Phyllis (Ora) Lackie of Smith Creek; son Carl (Margaret) Coates of Bonneyville, AB; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Irvine Coates of Sussex; sisters Annie Floyd of Apohaqui, Adelia (Maynard) Mercer of Fennell Subdivision and Florence McFarlane of Sussex. He was predeceased by sisters Hazel and Ruth Coates, Doris Boyko and Jane Carll, brother Andrew Coates and son-in-law D. Spargo Douthwright. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Sussex with interment taking place at Gosline Cemetery, Knightville. Donations to the Gosline Cemetery or St. Paul's United Church.
