DUPLISEA, GLADYS GEORGINA - At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, September 3, 2006, Gladys Georgina Duplisea of Fredericton passed away at the age of 90. Born in Barnesville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Walter Brunswick and Georgina (Rodgers) Thompson. Gladys was a member of Christ Church (Parish) Church, Fredericton, and a member of the Silver Dolphins Swim Club. She had a great interest in travelling. She is survived by one daughter Joan Elliott (Robert) of Chipman; one son William (Candice) of Fredericton; nine grand- children; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grand-children; five sisters Margaret Scott of Saint John, Betty Brown of Danbury, Connecticut, Shirley Simpson (Dick) of Sussex, Jean Kirkpatrick of Saint John, Winnifred Cooper (Don) of Gondola Point, NB. She was predeceased by her first husband Wilbur Fraser Vaughan and her second husband James Arnold Duplisea; one son Donald; one brother Walter; one sister Mildred; one grandson Jason. Visitation will be help at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday, September 8th at 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2006, at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Barnesville, NB, with Rev. Garth Maxwell and Ven. John Sharpe officiating. Committal to follow in the church cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Anglican Church in Barnesville, NB would be appreciated. Pallbearers will be Robert, Timothy, David, Wilbur, Martin and Charles.
