SMITH, LESLIE - Mr. Leslie Smith of Court Street, Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on October 7, 2006 at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Charles and Henrietta (Whiteneck) Smith. Les is survived by Ethel (Carhart) his beloved wife of 46 years; his son, Tom Smith (Alison) of Mt. Middleton; his step children, Gerry Patterson (Kelly) of Dieppe, Shirley Chisolm and Steven Patterson both of Ontario, Irene Patterson of Smith Creek; two brothers, Richard (Dick) of Saint John, Fred (Marg) of Sussex, two granddaughters, Kira and Maranda; as well as several nieces and nephews. Les was predeceased by four brothers, Len, Frank, Gordon and Ira; and by his sister, Florence Richard Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Monday evening at 6:45pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm. The interment will take place at Cardwell Cemetery at 3:30pm. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
