JOHNSTON-COMEAU, CHRISTINA E. - The death of Christina E. Johnston (Comeau), widow of Gilbert Johnston, occurred on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in 1928 in Saint John, the daughter of the late William and Emily (Harrison) Carvell. She is survived by her son Wayne Johnston of Saint John and daughters, Dora Smith (Gary) of Saint John, Madeline Montressor (Bernard) of Ottawa, ON; brother, George Carvell of Plaster Rock; loving companion Wally Llewllyn, Saint John; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Christina was predeceased by son Roy, daughter Sharon, brother Roy, and sisters Thelma, Pearl, Ruth and Verna Dee. Christina worked for 21 years as a supervisor at the Dr. Roberts Hospital School. She was a member of the RCL Branch #69 Women's Auxilillary. Christina was very outgoing and enjoyed dancing and playing cards. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation, interment will be at Fernhill Cemetery.
