SAUERTEIG, CAROLA (OLA) - Carola (Ola) Sauerteig died in Toronto on October 27th 2006 after a long illness. She leaves to mourn her parents Horst and Herta Sauerteig, her brothers and sisters Susanne, Michael, Hannes and Barbara with their families, and her partner Beverley O'Brien. Ola was born in St. John's Nfld. in 1961, moved to Saint John N.B. when she was two years old, and graduated from SJHS in 1979. She has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Ryerson University, was employed with several Toronto restaurants, then moved to Canada Revenue Agency. Ola has been cremated and her ashes gone home to New Brunswick. A memorial in her honour will be held in January in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, Ola would have wished that donations be made to the local Humane Society.
