GOODEILL, VIVIAN DEVOTA - Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on November 29th 2006, Mrs. Vivian Devota (Hamilton) Goodeill, wife of the late Charles Austin Goodeill, of Lake Utopia, NB. Born in Baie Verte, NB on August 7th 1912, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Rachael (Trenholme) Hamilton. A loving mother, grandmother and sister she is survived by one son; Larry (Donna) Goodeill of Lepreau, NB, three daughters; Alice Young (Hazen Wilcox) of Lake Utopia, NB, Lillian Spinney (George Bostwick) of St. George, NB and Frances (Blair) Thompson of Bay Side, NB, five grandchildren; David (Mary) Young, Trudy (Pat) Fitzgerald, Danny Thompson, Aaron (Amy) McVicar, Jesse Goodeill, five great grandchildren; Nicholas, Eric, Russell, Ayden and Desiree, one brother; Everett Hamilton of Amherst, NS, two sisters; Stella Smith of West Palm Beach, FL, Marie Kaye of Amherst, NS and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, Austin, she was predeceased by one grandson, Donnie Young. Vivian was a homemaker and her greatest joy was looking after the homestead in Utopia, and along with her husband Austin, the Utopia Campground and McLean's Beach where she made numerous friends. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, knitting and had a fond love of music. She was a former member of the United Church at Baie Verte and was a member of the Fundy Tides Seniors. Visiting will be held at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. The service will be held from the St. George Baptist Church on Friday, December 1st 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Meister officiating. Interment to follow at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Vivian's memory, donations to the Passamaquoddy Lodge Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
