THOMAS CHARLES LENIHAN

LENIHAN, THOMAS CHARLES - Thomas Charles Lenihan of 97 Exmouth St. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13th 2006, at his residence. Tom was born in Saint John on March 23rd 1911, a son of the late Frank and Alice (Quinlan) Lenihan. He had been employed with Atlantic Sugar Refinery for 26 years until his retirement when he became a commissionaire at Rocmaura Nursing Home for many years. He served with the Royal Canadian Army during the Second World War and was a member of the Legion of Mary. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Helen A. (Maguire) Lenihan; two sons Joseph F. S. (Marijke) of Mispec, and Brian T. of Saint John; one daughter, Theresa A. Furlong (Roland) of Saint John; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Golden Grove.
