MCNAMARA, HAROLD CHARLES - The death of Harold Charles McNamara, husband of Ruth (Wall) McNamara of Saint John, NB, occurred on Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, a son of the late William F. and Melina (Gaudreau) McNamara. Harold was a building contractor and land developer. He developed an avid interest in geology and became a well known prospector in southern New Brunswick. His greatest love was for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by his wife, Ruth; six children: Susan (Dr. David) Scullion of Portage Lake, Maine, Mark McNamara of Saint John, Judith (David) Murphy of Quispamsis, NB, Marilyn McNamara of Victoria, BC, Bonita (Philip) Salib of Tallahasse, FL and Michael (Debra) McNamara of Vancouver, BC; brother, Albert McNamara of Quispamsis; two sisters: Theresa Hughes of Fredericton, NB and Irene Brown of Ottawa, ON; eleven grandchildren: Cindy, David, Shari, Caley, Ryan, Shileen, Paul, Andrew, Jennifer, Maggie and Matthew; four great-grand- children: Kennedy, Conor, Dustin and Dalton; many nieces and nephews. Pre- deceased by an infant son, Francis; three brothers: William, Edward and Dan; two sisters: Agnes and Florence. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim's Church, 603 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 11 am. A private interment will be held on a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to St. Joachim's Renovation Fund or the Romero House would be appreciated by the family.
