CARSON, ELIZABETH (BETTY) PHYLLIS - Elizabeth (Betty) Phyllis Carson of East Saint John passed away peacefully on Saturday December 16, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1927 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Fritz and Ida (Dugas) Woodworth. Betty worked as a Nurses Aid for St. Joseph's Hospital for many years. She graciously served time as a member of the Simond's Lioness Club, including time as president. She is survived by her sons, David Morneau of Montreal, Gary Morneau (Debbie Smith) of Hudson, Quebec, John Morneau of Edmonton, Alberta, Brian Morneau of Saint John, Steven Morneau (Vivian) of Montreal and Robert Morneau of Saint John; daughters, Judith Morneau of Saint John and Pamela Morneau of Montreal; son in law, Paddy Travers of B.C.; sister, Jean Mahaney of Saint John; Several step Children; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Carson; son, Thomas Morneau; and brother, William Woodworth. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday December 20, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Following cremation a private family interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
