McLEAN, EDITH A. - The death of Edith Alvaretta McLean of Sylvia Drive, Saint John, wife of the late Wishart McLean, occurred on Monday, December 18th, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Newcastle Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Reeves Foster and Agnes Mary (Watters) Cass. Mrs. McLean was a member of Silver Falls United Church, Glen View United Church Ladies Bowling League, the Thursday Night Bowling League and the McAllister Place Walking Club. She was a talented knitter, seamstress and gardener and an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. Edith enjoyed her family and was always attending their sporting events. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by one son, Craig McLean (Clare) of Saint John; two daughters, Lisa McLean of Saint John and Mary Jane Leggett (Brent) of Moncton; one brother, Ralph Sherwill Cass (Valentina) of Boston, MA; sister-in-law, Margaret Stymiest (Benson) of Tabusintac; two very special grandsons, Tyler Leggett and Andrew McLean; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Mary Ellen Hall. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, December 19th, 2006 from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday, December 20th, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Silver Falls United Church on Thursday, December 21st, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at the Tabusintac Rural Cemetery on Friday, December 22nd, 2006 at 2:00 PM.
