FRANCIS KELLY McLEOD

McLEOD, FRANCIS KELLY - of Campbell River, B.C., formerly of Saint John and Grand Bay, NB, passed away peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital after a period of declining health on Dec. 14, 2006. He was born in Saint John on May 27, 1925 a son of the late John and Julia (Monahan) McLeod and was the husband of the late Marion (Hamm). Francis served with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter by trade. Francis is survived by his six children Frank (Booner)(Starr) Campbell River; Judy (Brian) Silliphant, Grand Bay-Westfield; Michael (Mary), Grand Bay-Westfield; Christopher, Catherine and Stephen (Debbie) all of Campbell River, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three brothers Gerard, Edward (Alice) and Joseph (Barbara), several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife he was predeceased by three brothers Clement, Frederick and James and three sister Mary Meehan, Rita Ogle and Bertha Gauthier. A memorial service will be held in Campbell River in January.
