RAMSAY, BERNETTA MARY (DORAN) - Mrs. Bernetta (Nettie) Ramsay, of Chatham Head, Miramichi, formerly of Warwick Road, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, December 27th, 2006. Born in Millerton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Close) Doran. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker and attended St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank. She loved to travel in the winter and her family considers her one of the snow birds. Bernetta is survived by three daughters, Jenny Tozer (Herb) of Saint John, Mary Ross of Saint John, Florence McGraw (John) of Chatham Head, Miramichi; two sons, Mervin Jr. (Marie) of Saint John, William (Billy) of Miramichi; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mervin, she was predeceased by one daughter, Theresa; two sisters, Veronica Doran, Genevieve Hachey; four brothers, Joseph, Carl, Charlie, Isaac; and one grandson, John Ross. The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St. Miramichi on Friday, December 29, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 11am at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank with Father Dan Melanson officiating.
