SAUNDERS, J. MELVIN (1943-2007) - After a brief battle with cancer, J. Melvin Saunders of Apohaqui, husband of Eileen (Hill) passed away January 4, 2007 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Rothesay, the eldest child of the late John and Kathleen Saunders., Melvin spent the greater part of his adult life in Apohaqui. Melvin is survived by son Terry, Grand Prairie, AB; and daughters, Darlene (Tom) Totton and grand son Brandon; and Faye (Michael) Totton and granddaughters Shawnee and Alana, all of Midland. He will also be missed by sisters, Marylou (Robert) Wiggins, of Apohaqui and Jeanie of Rothesay along with sister-in-law Joan (Garey), and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Melvin is also predeceased by brothers Charles (Tina) and Garey. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held Saturday, 1:00pm, at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marian Lucas Jefferies officiating. Interment will be in Titus Hill Cemetery, Titusville.
