HARRY C. CHARLTON
CHARLTON, HARRY C. - Harry C. Charlton of Fredericton, NB, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15th, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 96. Born in Hoyt, NB, he was the son of the late Arnold and Lorena (Graham) Charlton. He retired from the Provincial Government where he worked as a carpenter for many years. Harry was an avid outdoorsmen and loved camping, hunting and walking his dogs. He especially enjoyed the many wonderful hours spent sitting in his travel trailer with his adored great - grandchildren. Survived by his wife, Madeline (Mersereau); one son, Gerald and his wife Faye of Fredericton; two grandchildren, Karen Cliff (Steven) of Fredericton and Mark Charlton (Patricia) of Halifax, NS; two special great-grandchildren, Amber Leigh and Chelsea Ann Cliff who were his pride and joy; one sister, Ruby Butler (Harry) of Hoyt, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter; three sisters, Mildred, Stella and Evelyn, and four brothers, Percy, John, Ross and Roy. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 17th, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Terry Messer will officiate. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension at a later date.
