KAY TONER

TONER, KAY - At Hotel Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, February 3th, 2007, Mrs. Kay Toner of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 81 years. She was the wife of Joe Toner. Born at Bath in 1925, she was a daughter of the late James and Louise (Guest) Cummins. Mrs. Toner was a registered nurse, having worked in several locations in Carleton and Victoria Counties. She was an active member of the former CWL, the pastoral committees of her parish and was a canvasser for the Canadian Cance Society. She was also instrumental in the establishment of the local chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association. Besides her husband, she is survived by six sons, Raymond (Francine), Jim (Celine) and Gerald (Yvette) of Grand Falls, Tom (Cecile) of Saint-Andre, Robert (Rosemary) and Kevin (Joanne) of Grand Falls; one daughter, JoAnn (Greg Kraft) of North Bay, Ontario; 31 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Cummings of Houlton, Maine; and one brother, Gerald Cummins of Fredericton, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Margaret Keenan, Sister Gertrude Cummins, Harold, Frank and Marie Cummins. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Monday, February 5th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 6th from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 6th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
