LESLIE CARL OAGLES
OAGLES, LESLIE CARL - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on February 12, 2007, Mr. Leslie Carl Oagles, husband of Mary Elvira (Scott) Oagles of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born in Massachusetts on May 10, 1926, he was a son of the late James and Adelia (Nason) Oagles. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother he is survived by his loving wife Mary, two step daughters; Louise (Guy) McLaughlin of Blacks Harbour, Helen (Doug) Robbillard of Ottawa, ON, 11 grand children, 12 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one brother; Russell (Rose) Oagles of Florida, one sister in law; Beverly Oagels of Saint John NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Leslie was pre- deceased by his first wife Clara Oagles, a daughter Nancy, two step daughters; Barbara Thorne and Judy Ayotte, three brothers; Warren, Jim and George and a sister, Muriel Oagles. In his earlier years, Leslie drove tractor trailer in Ontario and following became a Pentecostal Minister and Evangelist and served the Lord for 40 years. He loved and played music and was a member of the Apostolic Mission Church in Pennfield, NB. Leslie was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Merchant Marine Navy. Resting at the Apostolic Mission Church, Pennfield from where the service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Reginald Ferris and Pastor Phil Anderson officiating. Interment will take place in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the Spring. A Royal Canadian Legion tribute will be held at the church on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Visiting at the church on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In Les's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
