SLANN, LIZZIE MAUD - The death of Lizzie Maud Slann, age 87, occurred by accident on Tuesday, February 28, 2007. Born 1920 in Welsford, NB she was the daughter of the late Linus Austin and Susan Alicia (Horsman) Seely. Maud was a long time resident of Lower Greenwich and was currently living in Saint John at Hillcrest Village. She was a member of the Grand Bay Baptist Church, Friendly Circle of Seniors, 55+ Nerepis Seniors Club, W.I. Grand Bay Greenwich Gems, Jones Creek. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She is survived by her sister, Mabel DeLong of Saint John; sister in law, Violet Slann; lovingly remembered by nephews, Borden DeLong (Marilyn), Thomas DeLong (Ruth Ann), Gary DeLong (Elaine) and Harold DeLong (Brenda); niece, Sandra Jefferson (Edward); extended relatives and several other nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Bertie James Slann; brother, Paul Seely and sister, Lena Brown. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday March 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception. A private family interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
