GELDART, JOSEPH - Mr. Joseph Geldart of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on February 28, 2007 in his 92nd year. Born in Sussex on March 28, 1915, he was the son of the late Hanford and Sarah Elizabeth (Whalen) Geldart. Joe is survived by his wife, Grace (Pearson); his daughter, Joanne Evans (Frank) of Saint John; four sons, Roy and Constable Peter Geldart, both of Campbell River, Vancouver Island, BC, Francis and Brian (Heather) of Sussex; his sister, Alma Oretto of Toronto; three grandchildren, Roy, Jill and Amy; as well as several nieces and nephews. Joe is predeceased by his brother, Stephen; and by two sisters, Annie O'Keefe and Doreen MacIntrye. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, where visitation will be held on Saturday 7 to 9 pm and Sunday 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion, Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Sunday at 6:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 11:00 am.
