53, Sydney It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth Wareham, which occurred April 18, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Mrs. Blanche Wareham, Sydney, and the late Augustus Wareham. She is survived by her daughters, Amanda Stapleton Walker (Brian), Toronto, Jocelyn Stapleton (Brad Bennett), Sydney; sisters, Sharon (Ted) MacDonald, Sydney, Joyce (Gary) Murphy, Sydney, Rita (William) Nash, Alberta, Monica Wareham, Sydney; brothers, Gordon (Phyllis), Sydney Joseph, Calgary, Phillip (Linda), Sydney. She is also survived by her two precious grandchildren, Cashton Lucas Bennett and Finn Patrick Walker; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Augustus Wareham. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 22, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Immaculate Heart Church, Mira Road, with Fr. James Oliver officiating. Interment to take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Unit, or Palliative Care.
