SHIRLEY LOUISE GIBSON (LAMB)
GIBSON (LAMB), SHIRLEY LOUISE - The death of Shirley Louise (Lamb) Gibson, loving wife of Douglas Gibson of Grand Bay-Westfield occurred unexpectedly on Sunday March 11th, 2007. Born 1944 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Witney Lamb and Mabel Louise (Scribner) Lamb. Shirley worked as a Home Care Worker for Riley's Home Care. She was a member of the Nerepis W.I. and on the Board of Saint John Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed dancing, spending quality time with her family and her special aunt Bea. Besides her loving husband Douglas; she is survived by her daughters, Shirley Lorraine Gibson of Charlottetown, PEI and Alyce Jennifer Gibson of Saint John; brothers, Leslie Lamb (Patricia) of Nauwigewauk, and Willard Lamb (Eileen) of Saint John and William McKinney (Brenda) of Saint John; step brother, John Warrington (Kathleen) of Rothesay; sisters, Elaine Danahy of Saint John and Lana Vallis (Allan) of Kingston Peninsula, cherished sisters-in-law Shirley Brown (Doug), and Heather MacKenzie; grandson, Jeremy Gibson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and special companion, her dog Keisha. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother in law, George Gibson. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday, March 13th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 16th, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, in the spring.
