81, North Sydney Frank Leonard Kelly, 81, North Sydney, and more recently of Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit, passed away April 21, 2008, in Braeside. Born in North Sydney, he was a son of the late Harry and Greta (Moffatt) Kelly. He had been employed as a teacher in several Nova Scotia Community Colleges. His passions throughout his life included playing bridge, his dogs, flyfishing and spending time with his granddaughters. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Ruth Gregor, Braeside; son, Harry (Valda), Middle Musquodoboit; granddaughters, Alanna, Halifax, Allison, Kentville; sisters, Norma (Kent) Storey, New Glasgow, Aileen Matheson, Toronto; brother, Harrison, Sydney. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Thursday, at 3 p.m. in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, Rev. Gary Burrill officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James United Church or St. Matthew Wesley United Church, North Sydney. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Co-operative, Upper Musquodoboit.
