BERTHA MARY (CAMPBELL GRIMMER

GRIMMER, BERTHA MARY (CAMPBELL, PARKS) - passed away March 14, 2007, peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital St. Stephen, N.B. Born July 6, 1918, Bertha was the eldest daughter of the late Frank and Berla Campbell. For all her 88 years Bertha lived in Calais, ME. and St. Stephen, N.B. Bertha was active in the community, she was a 25 year member of the I.O.D.E, she proudly served as a Standard Bearer, Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Life Member of the UCW, and member of the Friendship Circle of the Kirk McColl United Church and active member in the Saint John Ambulance and Charlotte County Hospital Auxiliary. Bertha will be dearly missed by her entire family especially her two daughters Joyce (Tracy Burns) Stanley, NB and Mary Ann (Jack Culliton) Coldbrook, NS. She is also survived by one son Douglas (Brenda) Parks and family, sister Alice Stacey, special daughter Joan (Duplissea) Weir Paso Robles, California, special nephew Raymond (Bud) Parks St. Stephen and several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Robert Burns, Sterling Burns, Steven Burns, Stephanie Culliton, Crystal (Culliton) Osadca, Tamela (Parks) McColley and ten great-grandchildren. Bertha was predeceased by her first husband Douglas Parks, brother John Campbell, sister Pauline Roy, grandson Peter Burns and granddaughter Lori Parks. An Honorary Memorial Service and reception will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 28th at the Kirk McColl United Church, St. Stephen NB. Remembrances in memory of Bertha may be made to the Kirk McColl United Church.
