HITCHCOCK, MATTIE - 1921-2007 - Mattie Hitchcock of Arthurette passed away peacefully at Victoria Glen Manor on May 7, 2007. Born in California Settlement on February 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Zibe and Elizabeth (Davenport) Donovan. Mattie leaves behind her husband of 67 years Len Hitchcock; her son Dale (Dawna) Hitchcock of Red Rapids; half-sisters Helen (Mac) Crone of Centerville, Drusilla Pelkey of California Settlement; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Mattie was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Arthurette. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Helene Burns officiating. Interment will be in the Larlee Creek Cemetery.
