HORNBROOK, MELVA E. - The death of Melva Elizabeth Hornbrook of Mount Middleton, NB occurred at her residence May 22, 2007. She was born in 1918 at Lower Cove, NB a daughter of the late Melbourne and Myrtle (McEwen) Aiton. Melva is survived by her husband of 64 years, James R. Hornbrook; daughter, Elizabeth (Hoyt) Pearson of Highfield; sons, Ronald (Nancy) of Mount Middleton and Robert (Barbara) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Dwayne Pearson, Denise Chisari (Joe), James Pearson (Jane), Michelle (Scott Hanrahan), Joseph Hornbrook (Dianne), Adam Hornbrook (Jennifer), Matthew Hornbrook (Brenda), Matthew Hornbrook (Joca) and Stephen Hornbrook; great grandchildren, Kyle, Jared, Liam, Ethan, Gwen, Owen, Andrew, Ty, Haley, Chase, Alex and Michael; sisters, Margaret Mercer (Carl) of Norton and Ruth Waterston (Frank) of Penobsquis; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Melbourne, Ainsley and Arthur Aiton. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Wesley United Church, Berwick, on Friday, May 25 at 2 PM. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. www.sussexfh.com.
