91, Sydney Lloyd C. King, 91, of Cabot Street, Sydney, passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Born in Port Malcolm, Richmond County, he was the son of the late Fred D. and Susan (Malcolm) King. He was employed for many years as a locomotive engineer with CNR, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Brotherhood Locomotive Engineers and No. 6 CN Pensioners Club. Lloyd was passionate about his garden and his flowers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anna (Gillis). He was predeceased by his brother, Percy King, sisters, Margaret Langley, Elva Houghton and Julia Gavin. There will be no visitation for the late Mr. King. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
