MARKEY, ERIC LESTER - 40, of Grafton, NB, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital. Eric was born in Woodstock, NB on July 9, 1966, son of Lois (Wallace) Markey and the late Joseph Markey. Eric is survived by his wife Patti (Hatheway) Markey, Grafton, NB, son Tyler Markey, Grafton, NB, mother, Lois Markey, Hartford, NB, sisters; Karen MacLeod (Greg), Dartmouth, NS, Janice Dery (Dean), Montreal, QUE, brother; Michael Markey (Wendy), Sydney, NS, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eric was predeceased by his father, Joseph Markey. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Thursday, June 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 29 at 11:00 AM from St. Gertrude's Catholic Church Woodstock, NB with Fr. Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery. At the family's request donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada.
