ORRY OWEN MASSON

MASSON, ORRY OWEN - passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday July 2, 2007 at the age of 94. Husband of the late Pauline (Burns) Masson. Born in Fairville, son of the late Frank L. and Jessie R. (Fowler) Masson. Orry will be sadly missed by son, Joe (Heather) Masson of Saint John and daughter Judy (Don) Weeks of Quispamsis, five grandchildren; Paul (Mary-Ann), Mark (Jennifer), Dawn, Scott, Adam and one great granddaughter, Brooke. He is also survived by one brother-in-law, Royden Morrow, as well as several nieces, nephews and their families. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his wife and parents, Orry was predeceased by four brothers; Frank G., Carl, Ken, John and four sisters; Helen, Annie, Grace and Kathlyn. Orry was a veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was employed with NB Power for 35 years retiring in 1978. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69, member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and the NB Power 25 Year Club. He enjoyed 29 years of retirement, fishing, dancing, working in the backyard and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Resting at Castle "Fallsview Chapel" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John (634-1701) with visitation on Wednesday July 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Thursday July 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Legion Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Funeral service from the Fallsview Chapel on Friday July 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Orry may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. A book of condolences may be signed at www.castlefh.com.
