AHEARN, MILDRED EVA (BROWN) - The death of Mildred Eva (Brown) Ahearn, loving wife of Elmer Ahearn occurred on Wednesday July 4, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1919 in Hatfield Point, NB she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Edna (Bond) Brown. Mildred owned and operated Millie's Beauty Parlor on Main Street from 1940-1947. She also worked for K-Mart for a few years. Mildred was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her loving husband Elmer of 60 years, she is survived by her sons Peter (Bonnie) of Saint John and Robert (Anne Marie) of Hatfield Point; four grandchildren Jason (Christine), Patrick, Jeremy and Andrew; one great granddaughter Rachael; sister-in-law Rita Brown; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother Bruce Brown, sisters Elsie Boyd, Thelma Landry and Florence Zadonovich. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday July 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday July 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation, a private family interment will take place in Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point at a later date.
