HART, ALEXIS - The death of Alexis Hart, wife of Thomas F. Hart, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Alexis was born in Halifax, England in 1924, a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Downie) Lamont, and had resided the greater part of her life in Saint John. She had been employed with Sears Canada for 25 years until her retirement a number of years ago. She was a member of the Maple Leaf Glades R.O.A.B. for 53 years. She was predeceased by three brothers, Colin, Donald and Wallace Lamont, one sister Sylvia Hall. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Nan Lynn Hart of Saint John; three brothers, Eric (Barbara), Ian (Jean), and George (Frances) Lamont, all of Saint John; one sister, Laureen Shonaman of Saint John; two grandsons, Joel and Will; two sisters-in-law Vonni Lamont and Marie Mercer, both of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday afternoon from one o'clock until service in Fitzpatrick's Chapel at three o'clock.
