DEXTER, RUSSELL W. - The death of Russell Weldon Dexter, husband of Bonnie (Lee) Dexter of Sunset Dr, West Saint John occurred at the Carleton Kirk Lodge on July 18, 2007. Born in Saint John NB, he was a son of the late Russell S. and Edith Beatrice (O'Dell) Dexter. Russell was a partner of Dexter Construction for many years. He was a former member of RCL #2, Carleton Union #8 F&AM and the Luxor Temple Shriners. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Karl Dexter (Beth), Mark Dexter (Cindy), of Saint John, Lee Dexter of Alberta, one stepson, Christopher Horrobin (Michelle), of Saint John, one daughter, Lynn Dickie (Mitch) of Pennfield, one step-daughter, Kathryn Hansen (Paul) of Porsgunn, Norway, one sister, June Murphy (Dennis) of Rothesay, NB, five grandchildren, one great grandson, two nieces and one nephew. Predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Val Dexter. Although there is no visiting at the Funeral Home, friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held at Cavanagh's Chapel on Friday, July 20 at 2 pm. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
