PORTER, VIVIAN ELIZABETH - Vivian Elizabeth Porter (Carr), age 82, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Wife of the late Earl Porter she was born in Geary, N.B. She was the daughter of the late Commodore and Marjorie (Murray) Carr. Mrs. Porter loved dancing, cards, and the outdoors. She spent many summers trailering at the Green Acres Trailer Park in Jemseg, and was a past member of #2 Legion. Vivian is survived by Three sons, Bill (Nancy), Saint John; Brian (Valerie), Saint John and Stephen, St. Martins; Three daughters, Marilyn (Brian) Giggey, Saint John; Pam Phillips, Oakville, Ont. and Debby (Barry) Reid, Grand Bay-Westfield; two brothers, Earle Carr, Saint John and Kenneth (Midge) Carr, Geary; one sister, Vera Bleakney, Saint John; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Vivian was predeceased by her infant daughter, Linda May Porter and her brother, Woodrow Carr. Resting at Castle Funeral Homes, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) visitation will take place on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations, in memory of Vivian, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
