FOUCHERE, MERRILL FRANCIS - The death of Merrill Francis Fouchere, loving husband of Sherry (Hodgin) Fouchere occurred on Sunday July 29, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1948 in Montague, PEI he was the son of the late Howard and Gladys (Farrell) Fouchere. Merrill was a Teacher working for District 8 for 30 years. He was a passionate teacher who made a difference in the students he taught. He also worked in the Nutrition and Food Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital for 5 years. Merrill was a Boy Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher; he enjoyed camping, playing Piano and Guitar. His greatest enjoyment was his family. Besides his loving wife Sherry, he is survived by his son Joel Fouchere and daughter Kyla Fouchere both at home; brother Rudolph Fouchere (Sharon) of Cornwall, PEI; sister Dianne Murray (George) of Charlottetown, PEI; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday August 1, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Ann's Catholic Church on Thursday August 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Hampton Rural Cemetery.
