McCORMACK, ALTON - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, August 15, 2007, Mr. Alton McCormack of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 88 years. He had been a resident of the Grand Falls Manor Veterans' Wing. Born at Grand Falls in 1919, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Mulherin) McCormack. Mr. McCormack was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by one niece, Diane Levesque of Grand Falls, one nephew, Andre Levesque of Toronto, great nieces, Parise and Natasha. He was predeceased by his sister, Anna Levesque and cousin, Mabel McCormack. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. His funeral will be held Saturday, August 18th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption Cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will meet for prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Grand Falls Manor Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
