DOIRON, ROBERT - The death of Robert (Bob) Doiron, loving husband of Jean (Cormier) occurred on Monday August 20, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1922 in Duvar, PEI he was the son of the late Felix and Sophia (Poirier) Doiron. Robert was a Veteran of WW II serving in the Navy, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 53. Besides his loving wife Jean, he is survived by sons Stephen of Halifax, Douglas (Carolyn) of Aurora, ON, Daniel (Kelly) of Kingston Pennisula and Scott (Karen) of Vancouver, BC; daughters Laura Oleksiuk (Mike) of Quispamsis and Janice Doiron (Graham Bell) of Vancouver, BC; brothers Paul Doiron of Summerside, PEI and Anthony Doiron (Beatrice) of Guelph, ON; sister-in-law Angeline Doiron; Ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by twin brother Fernand Doiron and brother Peter Doiron and sisters Margaret Arseneault, Helen Gallant, Bernice Arseneault and Ursula Buote. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church on Friday August 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation interment will take place at a later date. The family would appreciate donations made to the Kidney Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
