THIBODEAU, M. FLORENCE - After a short but courageous battle with cancer, it is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Florence on Monday August 27, 2007. Born in Belledune, NB she was the daughter of the late Delphis Guitard and the late Rosanna Hache. Florence was a caregiver by nature and by profession and touched the lives of many during her career. Her interests were varied; she loved gardening, doing home renovations, sewing but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends, her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a leader, a nurturer and an inspiration to all. She will be greatly missed and her spirit and giving nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by two sons Art (Heather) of Woodman's Point, NB and Bernie of Saint John; daughter Tammy (Neil) of Saint John; four grandchildren Jennifer (Andrew), Jessica, Ashley and Devon; two great-grandchildren Chloe and Hailey; three step children Wayne (Sandra), Rick and Ann; four step-grandchildren Jacqueline, Michelle, Samantha and Lori; seven brothers Walter, Norman (Carmen), Emile (Georgette), Leander (Annette), Phillippe (Albina), Alvin and Albert (Geraldine); six sisters Claudette Doyle (Gary), Mary Moulton, Jeannette Guitard, Martina Celeste, Alice Lapointe, Pearl Guitard (Abraham) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Carmeline Fournier and two brothers Raymond and Maurice Guitard. Special thanks to Michelle Deschenes for all your help and support during this difficult time. Following cremation, Visitations will be held from Fundy Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Route 102, Woodman's Point, NB.
