WHITAKER, AGNES D. - The death of Agnes D. Whitaker of 1023 Golden Grove Rd., widow of Bert L. Whitaker, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, August 27, 2007. Mrs. Whitaker was born December 31st, 1916, in Hillsborough, N.B., a daughter of the late Stephen and Clara (McLean) Wilband, and had resided the greater part of her life in Saint John. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen Wilband; three brothers, Joseph, Aubrey, and Frank Wilband; and two sisters, Patricia Coughlan and Rita Wilband. She is survived by two sons, David (Brenda) of Quispamsis, and Edward (Margaret) of Upper Golden Grove; one daughter, Ruth Easton (Harvey) of Port Stanley; one brother, Edward Wilband of Saint John; four sisters, Joan Devore (Gilbert) of Gilbert, Az, Clara Partridge of Gilbert, Az, Louise Pagliaro of Plant City, Fla ., and Ruth Lyman of Des Moines, Iowa; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on Friday morning at ten o'clock.
