FOLSOM, ROBERT MELVIN - Robert Melvin Folsom of Woodstock, husband of Joan (Durling) Folsom, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born at Long Settlement, Carleton County, he was a son of the late Harold and Helen (Belcher) Folsom. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-children, Jamie Farrell (Tonya), Joey Farrell (Brigitte), and Sarah Grant (Greg); a sister, Lois MacDonald (Gilbert) of Gorham, Maine; grandchildren, Kamila, Sammy, and Sophie; his mother-in-law, Winnie Durling of Woodstock; sisters-in-law, Kay Folsom of Ontario and Wilma Folsom of Woodstock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was predeceased by four brothers, Laurel, Claire, John, and Joseph. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Carl O'Donnell and Rev. Leonard Cousins will officiate, with interment in the Marne Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Red Cross or the McKenzie Corner Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
