KOBUS, RUTH AKA "LOOPY" (SUDSBEAR) - Born February 4th 1935 in New Brunswick. Ruth left us to rejoin her husband Gordy of 50 years. She passed peacefully on August 30th 2007 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Ruth was born in New Brunswick where she met her husband Gordy when he came home with one of Ruth's brothers to visit on a leave from the military. They were married in Quebec in December 1954 and just a couple years after the marriage came back to British Columbia where they raised their five children between Vancouver and Madeira Park. They moved to Madeira Park in 1969 where they continued to raise their children. Ruth leaves behind Rick (Andrea), Bruce (Eunice), Tricia (Eric), Bob (Lee), Cheryl (Art). Grand Children, Sean, Connor, Nick, Mike, Bryan, Matt, baby Sweeney, Shannon, Ashley, Alana, Brandon and Kaare. Great Grandchildren Cole, Dakota. Ruth was actively involved in the Pender Harbour Community from the time she moved to Pender Harbour until her passing. She was a founding member of Pender harbour Health Center Auxiliary where she stood as president three times and the Pender Harbour Community Club where she was president multiple times, she was also very active as her children were growing with cubs, brownies, cadets, sports and numerous other activities. A celebration of life will be at the Pender Harbour Community Hall on September 8th 2007 at 1:30pm
