NICOLE YVETTE MARIE STEWART

STEWART, NICOLE YVETTE MARIE - (45), daughter of Jacques and Dora (Hupée) Blackburn of Winnipeg, Manitoba, born in Belleville Ontario, passed away at her home in Enfield, Nova Scotia, with her family by her side on Wednesday Sept. 5, 2007. She is survived by husband Andrew; children, Sarah, Robert and Michael; sister, Renée Shultz (Bob); brother, Maurice and his wife Pam, brother Jacques Jr, all of Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as brother Ricky, sister Jacqueline (Charlie Brown), of Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is predeceased by her grandparents; her brother, Donald and sister, Lorraine. She attended Sturgeon Creek Regional Secondary School in Winnipeg before joining the Canadian Forces in 1979 where she served until 1985, when she left to be a mother to her children. Following a transfer to Nova Scotia in `95, she rejoined the workforce with Wendy's, Hermes Electronics, Zellers and finally Moirs, where she remained until her illness. She has been waging an intense battle with breast cancer since June 2001 and would not let it stop her enthusiasm for her interest in her children, their lives and family interests. She and Andrew, as well as her children, have worked for several seasons at the Registration gate at the NBAAC Flea market in Sussex, NB alongside the Stewart family. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Donald K Walker Funeral Directors, 307 Prince Albert Rd. Dartmouth (902-469-5601), on Monday Sept. 10, 2007 at 11:00am. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
