Dec. 21, 1919-May 6, 2008 Florence It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt and grand aunt, Ruth Luker. She passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the age of 88 in the Northside Community Guest Home. Ruth was the daughter of the late John and Annie Mae (Robinson) Finlayson of Florence. She was a member of St. Stephen’s parish. For many years Ruth operated a store in Florence with her late husband Bill. She resided in Florence until she moved to the guest home in 2002. She is survived by her sister, Sarah (William T. Young), Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William ‘Bill’ Luker, brothers, John, Robert and Walter, sister, Nora Quirk, nephews, Robert ‘Bobby’ Quirk and Tommy Finlayson. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Francis Fuenral home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, Florence, with Fr.
