83, New Waterford It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Martell on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Mombourquette) Springall. Eileen was a homemaker and her family and church were very important to her. She was very active in her church community, a CWL member, an eucharistic minister and at one time she taught religion classes. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Angelo) Faustini and son, Paul, both of Ontario; five grandchildren, Leigh, Joseph, Lisa, Lucas, Lora and one great-grandchild, Maddison; a sister, Anna Caverzan; brothers, Joseph, Bernie, Al, David, Reggie, Ernie and Ronnie; also numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James and sisters, Janette Pasher and Shirley Lavigne. Very special thanks go out to Sr. Anne Marie McKinnon, a special member of our family, for her many years of wonderful friendship and support to our Mom. Visitation for Eileen will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at McLellan Brothers Funeral home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, N.S., 862-7500. A funeral mass to celebrate Eileen’s life will follow at 2 p.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard’s/Mount Carmel Church with burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Following mass a luncheon will be held at the Carmel Centre, all are invited. Donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford.
