IRENE FAYE GAGNE
GAGNE, IRENE FAYE - Peacefully at her residence in Blacks Harbour N.B., surrounded by her family, Mrs. Irene Faye (Bradford) Gagne, wife of Mr. Louis Joseph Gagne. Born in Blacks Harbour on February 5, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Cora (Burrell) Bradford. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and ever loving person. Irene is survived by her husband, Louis; two daughters, Rose Collett of Ottawa ON, and Selena (Mark) Bannerman of Barney's River N.S.; two sons, Charles "Chuck" (Erica) Gagne of Fredericton NB, and Chris Gagne (Debbie MacDougall) of Blacks Harbour; eight grandchildren, Corine, Anne, Cody, Serena, Roman, Tristan, Ashton and Duncan; two brothers, Freddie (Alice) Brandford of Hampton, N.B., and Donnie (Evelyn) Brandford of Utopia N.B.; three sisters, Twyla (Leo) Rhynold of Beaver Harbour, Judy Bradford (Doreen Booth) of Saint John, N.B. and Dolores (Doug) Lockhart of Blacks Harbour; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Irene was predecased by three brothers, Harold, Roy and Burrell; four sisters, Phrina Deveau, Stella Steeves, Anne Gaudett and Donaldine McGarrigle.Irene was employed most of her working life with Connors Bros. in Blacks Harbour. Through the years, she was very active and involved with numerous events and organizations throughout her community. She had a special love for others and loved every person she met. Irene enjoyed gardening and to spend time with her grandchildren and family. She loved to read the Bible and serving the Lord. Irene also found pleasure in shopping for gifts for others. Resting at the Wesleyan Church in Blacks Harbour from where the service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm followed by interment in the Blacks Harbour Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Irene's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
