HAROLD ERNEST NOLAN
NOLAN, HAROLD ERNEST - The death of Harold Ernest Nolan of Saint john, NB, husband of the late Patricia Jean (nee Davis) Nolan, occurred on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 17, 1921 he was a son of the late Herbert and Catherine (Thorne) Nolan. Harold was a veteran of WWII having served with the Royal Canadian Army, following this service he was employed for many years with the Corps of Commissioners. Survived by three sons, Roy (Deborah) of Rowley, NB, Murray (Noella) of Moncton, NB and Harold of St. Stephen, NB; four daughters, Donna (Ken) Cossman of Saint John, Ruth (Ross) Galloway of Quispamsis, NB, Kathy Nolan of St. Catherine's, ON and Barbara Nolan of Kingston, ON; two brothers, Walter of Saint John and Doug of Montreal, QC; three sisters, Eva Cross and Betty Pendelton, both of Saint John, and Phyllis McCaustlin of Newcastle, ON; step-mother, Nettie Nolan; a special friend, Nancy Martin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Arlene; second wife, Patricia; three brothers, Roy, Lee and Murray. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 11 am. Following cremation, interment will be in the Field of Honour, Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. www.brenansfh.com
