RAYMOND R. LONDON
LONDON, RAYMOND R. - The death of Raymond R. London, husband of Norma Joan (Atkinson) London, occurred peacefully on Sunday October 28, 2007 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Born 1929 in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Ellen (Claydon) London. Raymond worked for the Saint John Dry Dock as a boilermaker, since March of 1951, retiring in 1993, and was a member of Local 3. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed working with wood. Besides his wife Norma Joan of 53 years, he is survived by daughter, Lori O'Blenis (John) of Upper Golden Grove; two grandchildren, Nora and Benjamin O'Blenis; sister, Mary Ellen Cole of Hampton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Raymond G. London; brother, James London. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Glen View United Church on Wednesday October 31, 2007 at 2 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
