Dorothy Adshade
Date de décès : 6 mai 2008
Glace Bay/Toronto 1928-2008 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dorothy Adshade on May 6, 2008, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, Ont., with her friend, Kay Phillips at her side. Dorothy spent her working career with Crystal Myers in Toronto. Upon retirement she and Kay rotated between Ontario and Florida. In recent years they resided in Windsor then Cambridge. Dorothy was an avid sports fan. She wouldn’t miss a game of her beloved Blue Jays or Maple Leafs. She enjoyed collecting sets of figurines and team memorabilia. Dorothy took great pride in her property and all the feathered or four-legged critters that were lucky enough to stumble upon daily treats. Dorothy is survived by her lifetime friend and companion, Kathleen Phillips, Bill (Marg) Adshade and many nieces and nephews. Formerly of Morien Hill, Glace Bay, Dorothy was the daughter of Vernard and Annie Mae (MacDonald) Adshade. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by six brothers, John, Sid, Vernard, J.B. (Kid), Ralston, Fred, and four sisters, Annie, Ida, Viola (William/O’Pray) and Alice (Tutty). Following her instructions there was no visitation. Cremation and burial has taken place in Ontario. Miss Me - But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey that we all may take, And each must go alone, It's all part of the Master’s plan, A step on the road to home, When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me but let me go.
