PETRIE, THE REV.'D A. LES - The death of The Rev.'d A. Les Petrie of Hampton, husband of Margaret (Rauchwerk) Petrie occurred December 4, 2007 at his residence. He was born in St. Thomas, ON, son of the late Albert and Mary Ann (Crewe) Petrie. Rev. Petrie was Protestant Chaplain for the Royal Canadian Legion and Padre for Branch 68, Ladies Legion. He was and Anglican Priest serving in New Brunswick for thirty nine years retiring in 1998. He enjoyed gardening and making wine in his spare time. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, David Petrie, Windsor, ON, Deborah Downs (Gary), Glen Levit, NB, Michael Petrie (Tammy), Grand Bay-Westfield; six grandchildren; one brother, Robert Petrie (Elsie), Riverview, ON; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 7 to 9pm Thursday and 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Friday. The funeral will be held Saturday, 10:00 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 486 Kennebecasis River Road, Hampton. Cremation will be followed by interment in Flatlands Cemetery, NB.
