MCCAUGHAN, LEOTA VERNA - The death of Leota V. McCaughan of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Robert C. McCaughan, occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Devon, NB on November 13, 1910 she was a daughter of the late George and Blanche (Kimball) Tait. Leota was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Main Street, Saint John. Survived by four sons: William (Lynne) of Langley, BC, Burton (Christa) of Kanata, ON, David (Joanne) of Salisbury, NB and Donald (Peggy) of Damascus, NB; two daughters: Audrey (Charles) Breen of Saint John, NB and Helen (Kendall) Megarity of Gondola Point, NB; seventeen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Robert (January 2007); sisters: Violet Gray and Myrtle Breau; sisters-in-law: Lily, Nora, Kay, Anna and Florence. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 1 pm with reception following. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
