PHYLLIS MAY BOYCE

BOYCE, PHYLLIS MAY - Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at home. Born in Saint John on November 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Villah (Graham) Urquhart. Phyllis and her late husband Bill were the first couple to be married at South Bay United Church on September 15, 1951. She worked for Joseph Likely Construction for a number of years, leaving to raise her six children. Phyllis then worked for Marquis and Faloon, retiring from Patterson Palmer after many years as a legal secretary. She was active in the U.C.W. (Mary Neal Unit) of Carleton - Kirk United Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and loved her cat Sam. She is survived by sons, William Douglas, St. John's, Newfoundland, David Alan, Toronto, Gilbert Peter (Mary), Bayswater, N.B., Chris Scott, Toronto; daughters, Barbara Lynn (Bruce) McGee, Trenton, Ontario, Beth Boyce (Gary Collins), Oakville, Ontario; sister, Rose Marie (Bill) Johnston, Stouffville, Ontario; grandchildren, Corey, Jeffrey and Stefanie McGee, Kyle, Cameron and Ashleigh Collins, Peter and Kelly Boyce, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband, William Boyce and brother Roy Urquhart. Resting at Castle Funeral Homes, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visitation from 7 - 9 p.m. Friday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 31, from Carleton - Kirk United Church. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
