WILDA DELEAVEY

DELEAVEY, WILDA - At the Tobique Valley Hospital, Plaster Rock, January 1, 2008, Mrs. Wilda DeLeavey, 97, wife of the late Nicholas "Nick" DeLeavey of Anfield, passed away. Born at Durham Bridge, NB, in 1910, she was a daughter of the late Earlin and Lillian (Johnston) Tompkins. She is survived by two daughters, Alvena Goodine (David) of Crombie and Donna Francoeur (Rino) of Anfield , four sons, Wylie (Betty), Murray (Ann) and Lee (Dorothy) of Anfield and Emery (Lucy) of Hamilton, Ontario, 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, sisters and brother, Marion Foley of Boston, Lorna Gallop (Gerald) of Fredericton and Murchie Tompkins (Dorothy) of Anfield, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Glenna Henry, son-in-law, Donald Henry, sister, Ina Crawford, brothers, Charlie and George Tompkins. Resting at Grace and Truth Tabernacle, New Denmark, with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral will be held from the church on Friday, January 4th at 2 p.m., with Rev. Louis Pio officiating. Interment will be in the Anfield Community Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
