MONTGOMERY, C.D. FRANK DOUGLAS - The death of Frank Douglas Montgomery C.D., loving husband of Juliane (Julie) Montgomery occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday January 15, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1934 in Eagle Settlement, NB he was the son of the late Edward and Minnie (Lewis) Montgomery. Frank was a Gunner with the Military serving with 2 RCHA for 21 years, he served two tours of duty after WWII in Germany and finished his military career in Base Gagetown. He then worked in Security and Traffic Control for the University of NB for 21 years. He was an avid collector of Guns and Coins, and in his later years he learned to play the guitar and loved to sing karaoke. Besides his devoted wife of 51 years Julie, he is survived by his loving children, Sherry Ivie of Medicine Hat, AB, Ron Montgomery (Rose) of Quispamsis and Sandra Perley (Greg) of Fredericton; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Leanne, Lynnsey, Kristy, Benjamin, Ryan, Jenna and Spencer; two great grandchildren Amber and Nathan; four brothers, four sisters and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Stewart and sister, Bernice. By request there will be no visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) on Saturday January 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Newcastle, Ontario at a later date.
